A rare opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Technologist to join an iconic group which is home to some of Britain’s most loved brands. 

Using your experience you will work alongside the Packaging Delivery Team, responsible for driving the development of packaging for new and existing products, conduct testing of finished packs to assist the setting of quality standards and work with suppliers on improving the technical performance on existing packaging working within the framework of Business Strategies.

This role will act as the subject matter expert on allocated projects in line with business values and strategies, manage trials from concept to output, act as an escalation point for packaging quality and support the delivery of unplanned business needs to ensure continuity of supply.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days – Monday to Friday. Our client offers the opportunity for flexible/hybrid working, but this would ideally include 3 days per week collaborating with your colleagues on site.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Hands on packaging development experience
  • Experience of working collaboratively as packaging subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams to deliver new product development and continuous improvement projects to brief, time and cost.
  • Experience of arranging and conducting required line trials to validate packaging solutions, from drafting of trial protocols through to analysis and reporting of results and recommendations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MSN365 and ideally CAPE or similar.
