As Technical Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, and expanding our client’s sales portfolio across multiple regions. With a background in business-to-business flexographic sales experience, you will play a vital role in driving growth, strengthening relationships, and ensuring outstanding customer support while staying ahead of industry trends and market dynamics.
More about your responsibilities:
Customer Growth & Engagement: Strengthen and maintain long-term relationships with customers to proactively manage and grow key accounts.
Market Expansion & Strategy: Research and analyse market trends, competitive intelligence, and potential international regions of interest to drive strategic sales initiatives. For identified areas of opportunity, develop relationships and effectively convey value propositions to potential customers to secure partnerships, foster trust, and drive sustainable business growth.
• Technical Sales & Support: Develop in-depth product knowledge and a thorough understanding of manual and automated workflows. Provide expert technical support, ensuring solutions are effectively tailored to meet customer needs and expectations.
• Sales Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead monthly sales forecasting, monitor performance against expectations, and contribute to annual sales budgeting and projections.
• Pricing & Quotation Management: Oversee customer pricing, generate accurate quotations, and implement pricing adjustments to maintain profitability and market competitiveness.
• Trade Show & Industry Representation: Represent our client at trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars to strengthen industry presence and build new partnerships.
• Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Finance teams to determine stockholding, delivery agreements, product development priorities, and quality standards.
If you’ve got:
• 5+ years of experience in commercial sales, ideally within a European-wide customer base.
• Experience in the flexographic printing industry is a requirement.
• Proven success in key account management and business development.
• Strong ability to identify new market opportunities, taking any regional market dynamics into account to build long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with high credibility and trustworthiness.
• A keen listener with a natural curiosity and the ability to dig deeper to truly understand customer pain points and needs.
• A flexible, adaptable approach that embraces data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
