Managing Director – Packaging

Our client, a successful and well-regarded business in the packaging industry, is looking for an experienced and driven Managing Director to take the lead in shaping the company’s future. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on leader who thrives in an operational environment and understands the complexities of the packaging sector.

The Managing Director will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring that production, supply chain, and technical functions all work seamlessly together. With a strong focus on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement, the successful candidate will inspire their teams, drive productivity, and ensure the highest standards are consistently met across the operation.

This role requires someone who has built their career within production and operations and who can bring a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, health and safety compliance, and the operational challenges of the packaging industry. You will be expected to create a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation, while maintaining open communication with the board and delivering on agreed business goals.

The ideal candidate will already hold a senior leadership position within the packaging industry and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Strong decision-making skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams will all be essential to success.
