Our client, a leading packaging manufacturer specialising in the food industry, is seeking a passionate and commercially minded Packaging Buyer to join their growing procurement team. With sustainability at the heart of their business, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in sourcing innovative and responsible materials that help shape the future of food packaging.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of packaging commodities, including paper, board, flexible films, and bio-based materials. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure reliable and cost-effective sources of sustainable materials. Your insight into market trends and understanding of environmental standards will help the business stay ahead in a fast-moving and highly competitive sector.

The successful candidate will bring experience in packaging or materials buying, ideally within the food or FMCG sector, along with a strong grasp of sustainability principles such as recyclability, renewable resources, and carbon reduction. You’ll be a confident negotiator, a collaborative team player, and someone who thrives on building strong supplier relationships to deliver lasting value and innovation.
