This company has been trading for numerous decades, and its all-round performance and dedicated approach has allowed it to gain a solid client base and enviable reputation.

Looking to expand its presence in the world of e-commerce / fulfilment, our client is looking for an experienced business development manager within the sector to identify new business opportunities. Your role will be responsible for generating leads and booking appointments to attend on a daily basis. They are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and deliver sales presentations, and to provide an exceptional service at all times.

The Individual:

  • Must have Ecommerce / Fulfilment experience in a Business Development/ field based role
  • Proven track record of closing sales
  • The ability to understand and engage all key stakeholders in bids
  • Confident, articulate, works well under pressure
  • A high level of negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, who works using their own initiative with minimum supervision
  • As the role will be field-based – must have excellent organisation skills and be able to manage workload etc
  • Communication with line manager will be key, in terms of providing weekly updates and seeking advice / guidance as necessary
  • Prior use of Salesforce would be beneficial (but not essential)
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
  • Knowledge of sales methodology
  • Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks at any given time
  • Detail oriented
  • Driving licence  (max 3 points)
