Our prestigious Packaging Client requires to appoint an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager for their site in Greater Manchester.

The role will report to the Operations Director and will have 6 Immediate Reportees: Warehouse Coordinator, 3 Warehouse Team Leaders, Transport Contract Manager, Pallet Contractor.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the warehousing and logistics functions to ensure excellent service is provided to customers within budgeted costs.

Main Duties:

To ensure the Warehousing and Despatch/Transport functions are co-ordinated to meet the joint needs of the customer and the plant.
To ensure stockholding is well managed, both in terms of warehousing and stock control.
To manage and control the transport contractor to ensure best service to customers is maintained within budget.
To manage and control the Pallet Contractor to ensure best service to both the plant and customers is maintained within budget
To develop robust procedures and systems

Dimensions:

Responsible for ensuring Product is effectively delivered to customers.

OTIF
Stock levels (finished goods and raw materials)
Off-site warehouse costs
Transport costs
Pallet costs

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

5 years management experience in similar role
Communication and presentations skills.
Commercial awareness
Specific Logistics Industry knowledge
Intelligent Problem Solver
IT skills.
