A high quality print group, which is the leading player within its specialist field, is looking for a Technical Manager to become responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of print production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability in processes. This role involves managing production techniques, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while optimising operational performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership:
• Oversee and manage manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality output.
• Develop and implement best practices for production, quality control, and efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and improve production outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Process Optimisation & Quality Control:
• Monitor and enhance production techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
• Implement quality control measures to minimise defects and waste.
• Work closely with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the best raw materials are sourced.
• Utilise data-driven analysis to improve manufacturing performance and reduce downtime.
Innovation & Sustainability:
• Research and introduce new technologies and materials to enhance product performance and sustainability.
• Drive sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing process, reducing environmental impact.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to develop new product types and improve existing ones.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Proven experience in technical leadership, innovation management, and sustainability.
• Proven track record in driving technical excellence, innovation, and sustainable business practices.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, environmental policies, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
