We are calling out for a supervisor/manager from any department within a printing and/or packaging company who would relish the opportunity to move to the Emerald Isle.

It is not so much the production experience our client is looking for – what’s most important is finding an outstanding organiser with a “can do” attitude and a real enthusiasm to “make a difference”. The objective of this role will be to be manage the production on shift basis, general production, quality of product, health & safety, equipment, performance (achieving production targets) and manage production personnel.

A self-starter with experience working in a highly dynamic environment, you will exhibit an ability to both implement and continuously improve processes. Our client has put a real emphasis on finding someone who takes a hands on approach, and who is flexible when responding to changing priorities and issues. You must be able to multi task and work on multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Full responsibility for the management of the print department, ensuring the production plan and metrics are achieved
  2. Act as Health and Safety champion, and foster a health and safety culture
  3. Ensuring the plan is executed in a timely fashion, meeting operational efficiencies at all times, taking into consideration all raw material issues, and having backup plans when necessary
  4. Hold regular communication meetings with the team
  5. Contribute to employee appraisals annually
  6. Drive individual employee performance on a daily basis and provide regular feedback to all employees on all aspects of their performance.
  7. Manage equipment performance and checking to ensure plans are achieved
  8. Drive continuous improvement of Product Quality & Plant Efficiencies on each shift
  9. Ensuring the Area is managed in a controlled fashion that meets quality and all other standards
  10. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for traceability purposes
  11. Ensure full and accurate reports are completed and circulated daily highlighting areas of importance and potential negative impacts to shift plan achievement

With at least 3 years’ experience at supervisory/managerial level, you will be culturally aware with excellent communication skills and an ability to work with all levels within the company.
