With continued investment in technology, people and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in supporting future growth.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced print industry professional to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Working closely with Sales, Customer Services, Production and Purchasing teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates across a wide range of print and related communication products.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of print manufacturing processes, materials, production methods and costing structures.

You will be expected to evaluate customer requirements, identify the most efficient production routes and ensure estimates are delivered accurately and within agreed timescales.

As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, helping to maintain best practice and commercial competitiveness throughout the estimating function.

Key Responsibilities


·Produce accurate and timely quotations for a wide range of print and communication products.
·Assess customer specifications and determine the most cost-effective production methods.
·Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Purchasing departments to obtain relevant information and pricing.
·Calculate material, labour, finishing, subcontract and distribution costs.
·Evaluate alternative production routes and recommend efficiencies where appropriate.
·Maintain estimating databases, supplier pricing and costing information.
·Support tender submissions and larger commercial opportunities.
·Provide technical advice on manufacturing capabilities and production processes.
·Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing profitability and operational efficiency.
·Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements


·Previous experience within a commercial print estimating role.
·Strong knowledge of lithographic, digital and finishing processes.
·Excellent understanding of print manufacturing costs and production planning.
·Ability to interpret complex customer specifications and convert them into accurate quotations.
·Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
·Proficient with estimating and MIS systems.
·Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
