Role based Greater Manchester.
Senior member of the Planning team.

Co-ordinating production scheduling, ensuring compliance to customer delivery deadlines, working across production teams and representing the planning team at a managerial level.

Role Function

• Dealing with production teams to ensure scheduling plans are met
• Full awareness of production status at all times across all manufacturing areas and at outworkers taking corrective action where necessary to ensure delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Maintain communications with Outworkers, Customer Service and Operations to react and be proactive in changes to production
• Liaising and meeting with internal customers, outworkers and suppliers and occasionally with external customers.
• Provide essential support to the Planning Manager and Operations Management Teams.
• Deputise for the Planning Manager during holidays and other absence including representation at senior level and managing the team of Production Planners.
• Attend daily and other production related meetings
• Be part of cross department projects to improve processes and procedures
• Ensure there are Standard Operating procedures in place for the role

• Be a proficient communicator both verbal and written
• Have a high competence for dealing with detail
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to deal with change and work under pressure.
• Able to provide out of hours support to Production by being prepared to take calls to work mobile and log onto schedule via company lap top to make scheduling changes.
