With an enviable reputation for quality, service and long-standing client relationships, our client has built a highly respected position within the commercial print sector. Following many successful years in the role, the current Sales Director is planning retirement, creating a rare and exciting opportunity for a commercially driven senior salesperson to join the business and lead the next phase of growth.

This is a succession-based appointment with clear progression to full Sales Director responsibility.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-calibre sales leader who can:

  • Generate and sustain a strong level of turnover
  • Develop strategic new business opportunities
  • Maximise existing client relationships
  • Lead and inspire a sales function
  • Contribute at board level to overall business strategy

The successful candidate will work closely with the retiring Sales Director to ensure a smooth transition, gaining full insight into the client base, operational capabilities and market positioning before assuming full leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across commercial print services
  • Develop and implement a clear sales strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Personally secure high-value new business opportunities
  • Maintain and grow key accounts
  • Mentor, lead and develop the sales team
  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting
  • Represent the business at senior client level

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proven print industry sales professional with:

  • A strong track record of generating significant turnover
  • Experience within commercial print
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on sales capability
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into a director-level role
  • Commercial acumen and financial awareness
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

This role would suit a high-performing Sales Manager ready to step up into a board-level position.
