Role based North West England.

Experience Required:-

Project Management qualification(s) including PRINCE 2 accreditation or similar would be beneficial.

At least 2 years project experience at project manager level covering a relevant area e.g. Events, Retail, Field Marketing etc.

Working knowledge and management of budgets.
General understanding of Field Marketing

Track record of ability to deliver against targets and within set timescales

Key capabilities and characteristics:-

Excellent Communication, Presentation, organisational & time management skills
Proficient Computer skills (all aspects of Microsoft Office)
Confident operating within senior peer groups and customer senior management

Conditions of Role:-

Possible overnight stays / travel outside of the UK may be required.

Job Summary:-

Planning, organising, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of a specific project’s goals and objectives

Key Accountabilities:-

Operational Effectiveness
Review the operational field marketing plan and confirm and agree a project plan, setting out the activity(ies) to be undertaken, the objectives, actions and resources required.

Identify and create data collection and reporting systems designed to fulfil the monitoring requirements of the field marketing plan.

Ensure that all required material is distributed correctly.

Provide on-going feedback upon the results of the activity(ies) to the relevant person(s) according to an agreed schedule.

Complete agreed quality assurance measures correctly, assessing the pace and productivity of a project.

Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all project engagements and the tracking of trends.

Adheres to internal warehousing processes including stock pick prioritisation, ensuring complete project kits are allocated to field staff to ensure jobs can be fully completed within the agreed SLA.

Participates in the identification and development of strategic accounts.

As and when required, serves as key participant in team and client meetings. Confronts issues openly and quickly.

Client Management – anticipating client’s needs and proposes alternative business solutions.

Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction.

People & Performance:-

Develop and agree briefing and training programmes and associated materials for the field marketing team(s) which address their requirements.

Ensure that sufficient field marketing personnel are recruited, briefed and trained to undertake the agreed activity(ies), confirming that everyone involved is clear about their roles and responsibilities.

Deliver continuous improvements of processes and procedures within the Business Unit to ensure on-going efficiencies and cost savings can be identified and met.

Engage in cross-functional working to enhance performance.

Provides leadership to Project Administrators.

Involves, as appropriate, the sales team in order to achieve sales goals, works in conjunction with the sales team to follow up on sales leads within practice.

Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces.

Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalises on equity and partnership opportunities
Attend Internal and External Meetings as and when required, to ensure accuracy and consistency of customer requirements.

Ensure project targets are met, high output and quality standards achieved.

Ensure smooth running of projects, deliveries and equipment through liaison with appropriate departments.

Ensure total quality management with continuous improvement.

Financial Controls:-

Work with, and involve, Managers and Departmental Managers in order to deliver budget and
improve Company profitability.

Produce and investigate KPI’s prior to submission of weekly/monthly reports.

Ensure additional labour costs are controlled and utilised effectively.

Reports profit and loss figures, consolidates and analyses profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation across projects and contracts.

Monitor the field marketing activity(ies) against the agreed plan, budget, and associated targets and objectives.

Identify promptly any variances to the agreed plan and budget, reporting and addressing these correctly.

Human Resources:-

Provide leadership and motivation to the Project Administrators in order to motivate and achieve positive individual and group results.

Promote a positive people culture and ensure a leadership style is adopted creating a competent,
committed, involved and motivated workforce.

Helps to determine new, creative ways to employ teams on projects and distribute responsibilities.

Work with the Human Resources department to implement effective people management development and in the recruitment and retention of employees, ensuring that on-job training and coaching are carried out at all levels to aid in the on-going development of the team.

Take an active role in improving business and divisional communications, through team briefs, presentations, staff meetings and notices.

Enforce the Company Health and Safety Policy, taking an active role in its implementation and
monitoring within the projects division.

Work with the Head of Training to maximise and support the development of training via new technology.

Develop and agree briefing and training program associated materials for the field marketing team(s), address their requirements.

Business Planning & Operational Strategy:-

Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practices, champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas.

Easily recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation, i.e. works across practice to share lessons learned and best practices.

Ensure adequate planning is carried out to fulfil and achieve project requirements and carry out post review analysis.

Liaise with Heads of Department to provide input into the development of new processes for new clients/market sectors.

Deliver new and existing customer requirements.
Facilitate project reviews including, both budget spend and the overall performance of the contracts.

Work with the Head of Training, Human Resources and the Regional Field Managers to identify the quality of the operational workforce and the requirements needed to develop the business in line with the Company’s strategy.

Drive efficiencies and the delivery of a quality service through managing an environmentally sustainable process.

Raises our visibility through involvement in local industry organisations.
