Our client is a well-established and highly respected print and communications company, delivering high-quality solutions to a diverse client base. They are now seeking an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of their production operation, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standards.

Reporting into senior management, you will oversee production planning and scheduling, ensuring workloads are effectively managed to meet customer deadlines while making the best use of resources, equipment and personnel. You will lead by example on the shop floor, motivating and developing the production team to create a positive, productive working environment focused on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident using IT systems to monitor production performance, manage workflow and produce accurate reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by planning preventative maintenance, coordinating machine servicing and repairs, and minimising downtime wherever possible.

You will also take ownership of Health & Safety across the production department, ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation while promoting a strong safety culture. In addition, you will identify training requirements within the team, helping to develop staff skills and maintain a flexible, capable workforce.

To be considered, you will have previous production management experience within the printing industry, together with a proven ability to plan production, lead teams and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in direct mail would be an added bonus. You will be an effective communicator with excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem solving and a genuine commitment to quality and customer service.
