Job Title: Production Manager

Salary: £Excellent

Location: East Midlands

Reference: J7224

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, East Midlands based Printers. Our client operates a sophisticated print facility that serves as a core engine for their success, utilising modern technology to deliver high-impact solutions for a prestigious client base.

They are looking for a Production Manager who can step in, take ownership of the floor, and drive operations to new levels of efficiency. This isn’t just a “clock-in, clock-out” job; they need a strategic partner to the wider business—someone who can be the primary point of contact for commercial teams and ensure every project is delivered to an exacting standard.

The Role

As the Production Manager, you will be the bridge between high-level strategy and daily execution. Your mission is to drive productivity, mentor the team, and maintain the seamless flow of work through the department.

  • Operational Leadership: Manage the daily workflow, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are optimised across all production and finishing stages.
  • Efficiency & Improvement: Lead the charge on process improvement, reducing waste and identifying new ways to streamline production.
  • Internal Liaison: Act as the “face” of production for the wider business, collaborating closely with Sales, Design, and Project Management teams.
  • Technical Authority: Oversee the end-to-end production process, from initial files through to final quality control.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a culture of excellence, ensuring all H&S standards and quality protocols are strictly followed.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Experience: You must have a strong background in Print Production Management. You understand workflows, material management, and the pressures of high-volume manufacturing.
  • The Mindset: You are a natural leader. You don’t just spot problems; you solve them before they hit the floor.
  • The Responsibility: You are looking for a role with real responsibility. You can work autonomously, represent the department in meetings, and give the leadership team total confidence that “it’s handled.”
  • The Communicator: You can talk shop with operators and strategy with directors, translating complex technical needs into clear, actionable plans.

Why Join Them?

  • Impact: You’ll be a key player in a substantial operation with significant influence over the company’s output.
  • Stability: Work for a long-standing, financially secure company that continues to invest in technology and people.
  • Culture: They value agility, innovation, and a “get-it-done” attitude.
