Our client is niche printing company specialising in high quality print & packaging. They are looking to grow their enthusiastic and dedicated team with the addition of an experienced Repro/Prepress operator.

Job Role
Repro/Prepress operator in a fast paced and challenging printing environment. Salary commensurate with skills and experience up to £25,000pa. Hours 9-5.
The primary responsibilities will include:
• Checking and preparing artwork for print
• Making necessary amends to artwork
• Communicating amends to customers
• Processing orders through MIS system
• Preflight and Proofing
• Creating simple layouts
• Creating and converting templates and cutter guides for customers
• Developing POB, corrugated and folding carton boxes and creating cutter guides
• Designing and ordering foiling plates
• Liaising with the sales and production teams
• Training other team members
• Managing workload and more junior team members
Candidate must be proficient in the following software:
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Pitstop Pro or similar Preflight Software
• Imposition Software
• (optional) Expedience using CAD software such as Artios CAD
Candidate must possess the following qualities:
• Understanding of colour management
• Enthusiastic
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
• Good work ethic
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Computer literacy
• Willing to learn and continuously improve
• Knowledge of packaging and cardboard engineering would be helpful
• Willing to go the extra mile for the customer
