Job Purpose/Objective(s)
Developing and leading standard and value-adding testing work programmes to meet workflow and revenue requirements of the business, and to ensure clients’ requirements are met. Managing work programmes to ensure work is delivered on time, in full and
within budget. Gains a broad understanding of SP testing procedures. Activities undertaken in accordance with quality manual and laboratory operating procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops well specified enquiries into standard testing proposals; develops partly
specified enquiries into standard testing proposals under guidance. Writes standard reports and non-standard reports under guidance. Checking and signing off worksheets, proposals and reports prepared by other team members for standard testing. Recommends approaches to solve problems and/or progress work. Contributes towards the development of value-added work programmes.
Utilises specialist testing knowledge and a sound understanding of underlying scientific principles to project manage high quality testing. Develops solutions to routine testing technical problems. Oversees and manages involvement of multiple team members and on a project basis. Supports the Chief Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Lab
Manager by providing technical input to other team members on routine and non-
routine testing activities on a regular basis. Communicates and negotiates the cost internally and with customers on standard and non-standard work enquiries and work programmes. Hosts clients on site for routine and non-routine testing activities, and gives presentations to potential customers on and off site. ?
