We have an exciting opportunity to come on board their in-house packaging team. They are on the search for a Packaging Engineer to lead and qualify packaging manufacturing executions for all NPDs and EPDs, taking ownership for the following:


• Execution of package testing plans for new packaging in our portfolio both in-house and contract manufacturing.
• Management of project testing documentation
• Defining packaging process limits and packaging quality systems including definition of methods to evaluate the quality of packaging/packaging processes
• Lead line trial validation until successful RTM

Additional Key Responsibilities:

• Offer factory support for pack design related engineering issues
• Lead in understanding the line capability for packing the products for NPDs/EPDs
• Support Packaging Development member to execute the transport tests to assure outer packaging and pallet designs are sufficient to deliver high quality product to customers
• Assist with industrial line trials: order materials, data recording, and set up
• Produce documents for the assembly of technical dossiers and customer specifications
• Identification of new product/packaging ideas and cost initiatives
• Identification of ideas for line capability to improve the quality of the execution
• Be an expert on new possibilities towards cost savings, sustainability improvement by attending external exhibitions
• Use Lean manufacturing tools for development and problem solving.

This role of packaging engineer requires someone with sound computer skills and strong database program knowledge.
