A forward thinking flexible packaging company is searching for a Packaging Data Technologist to be responsible for all packaging data control and company compliance documentation. This will include responsibility for technical data related to the manufacture of the product, for maintaining on behalf of customers data sets, for submissions to the Extended Producer Responsibility scheme (and for current packaging recover notes – PRN’s) and for Carbon Zero reporting.

We are looking for someone with a background in packaging, driven to make a positive contribution to the improvement of data capture and management in the packaging manufacturing environment.

The role will be based in Ireland or London (TBC)

Duties will include:

  • Supporting QA, packaging technology and purchasing management in aligning packaging data sets.
  • Management and reporting of current data
  • Develop systems to streamline the administration and control of data
  • Ensuring that customer data platforms are kept up to date with specifications against their individual requirements
  • Work very closely with the Technical team in designing a fluid and optimal system
  • Maintain compliance documentation including EPR and Plastic Tax readiness
  • Develop programmes for wider team training on systems
  • Support change management
  • Support the financial accounting team data requirements.
  • Ad-hoc requirements

 Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of packaging specification and compliance setting
  • Education – Prince2 (desirable), IOM3 Pack Dip
  • Proven track record of working in a pro-active way
  • Highly confidential and trustworthy
  • Highly numerate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very personable – friendly, positive and professional
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good BOM data awareness  (Oracle / SAP)
  • General IT proficiency
