An environmentally friendly packaging converter seeks a candidate to market a range of products designed to remove plastic from the E-Commerce sector.

The candidate will have a proven track record in senior-level sales, ideally selling packaging to retailers. They are looking for someone whose ambition and determine will rival their current standing directors.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Research new clients, products, markets & exhibitions/events on a national basis. 

2. Prospect/cold call utilizing own initiative, industry knowledge & best practices eg. LinkedIn.

3. Persuade new prospects and lapsed customers to place physical orders and / or accept a meeting to establish packaging needs. 

4. Maximise profitable opportunities by understanding client operation savings vs price paying.

5. Increase company participation in tendered packaging opportunities.

6. Attend exhibitions & relevant training courses to develop knowledge, techniques, and skills. 

Personal Specification

  • Positive mindset with care of their work, clients & colleagues.
  • Proven track record of senior-level sales is essential, ideally in selling packaging to retailers.
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively under own initiative. 
  • Confident in liaising with company Owners/Directors and prestigious blue chip companies.
  • Ability to challenge / persuade prospect if hurdles need overcoming.
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Maximises ‘cold call effectiveness’ adapting prospecting method (e.g. LinkedIn/ teams)
  • Superb telephone manner & communication skills
  • Quick thinker 
  • Team Player 
  • Very strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Confident and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Pro-active work ethic
  • Organised and efficient. 
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and LinkedIn. (CRM training will be given).
