Our client is recruiting for a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer who will have sole responsibility for planned maintenance, breakdowns and repairs at its site in Tunbridge Wells. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a new role to the Company so a fantastic opportunity to stamp your own mark on the role.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias, ideally in the Print Industry, working on machines such as Heidelberg or KBA. We are looking for an individual with a ‘can do’ and flexible attitude to their work. Ideally possessing the relevant City & Guilds Engineering Maintenance or BTEC certificate in operations and maintenance engineering, this role will include but is not limited to:
• Reactive maintenance on the printing presses and associated equipment including bindery machines and packaging.
• Planned preventative maintenance, planning schedules and executing them according to production timescales.
• Modifications to machinery to improve operation and optimise production capacity.
• Electrical works where possible.
• Site maintenance including painting, domestic electrical works
• Organisation of stores and contractors, ordering consumables and spares.
