Job Description.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical background for a polythene bag manufacturer who produce a wide range of polythene film and bags.

The successful candidate will ideally have attended an Industrial Electrical Course and will be certified to the 17th edition electrical course.

This position is for regular Day shift, (7am till 7pm), Monday to Friday and the successful applicant will be expected to live in the West London area.

Summary:
This person will be responsible for maintenance and repair of blown film extrusion and conversion machineries.

– The person shall be flexible to being trained to run extrusion/conversion machine as an operator at other times / when required.

Skills/Knowledge:

Remove, Install & setup new inverter
Read and understand electrical circuit diagram
Able to fault find electrical circuit without diagram
Able to understand AC/DC motor control
Able to understand tension control (load cell, dancers)
Must be self-motivated, flexible and able to work on own initiative and as a part of a team.
Able to communicate at all levels

Salary & benefits:

The hourly rate will be in the region of £7.50-£10.00 per hour according to experience.
You can expect to earn in the region of £24,000-£28,000 per year in total.
After 6 months you will be eligible to join the Company Contributory pension scheme.

Education and or Related Experience:

Educated to diploma/certificate level or have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship to become an electrical biased engineer incl. qualification in the 17th edition electrical course.

(No experience is necessary, but hands-on knowledge of extrusion & conversion machinery maintenance will be an advantage).
