We are working with an internationally respected luxury packaging manufacturer to recruit a Key Account Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping packaging for some of the most prestigious whisky brands in the world.
This is a rare opportunity to work with high-end spirits brands, leading complex, design-led packaging projects from concept to production while building long-term strategic partnerships with global clients.
The Opportunity
As Key Account Manager, you will own and develop relationships with key whisky industry clients, managing innovative luxury packaging projects from initial brief and design development through to production and delivery.
Working closely with internal teams including design, costing, production, and project management, you will ensure exceptional client service while delivering commercially successful projects.
This is a highly visible role combining relationship management, commercial strategy, and creative collaboration in a fast-moving luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Management
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within leading whisky brands
- Drive growth within existing accounts through strategic account development and prospecting opportunities
- Deliver regular client meetings, visits, and business reviews
- Act as the primary commercial contact for key whisky sector clients
Commercial & Business Development
- Implement commercial strategy and contribute to budgeting and forecasting
- Conduct market, competitor, and client intelligence to identify opportunities
- Lead client presentations, innovation sessions, and design discussions
- Represent the business at industry trade shows and events
Project Development & Delivery
- Manage packaging projects from brief through design, costing, quotation, and negotiation
- Translate client requirements into clear briefs for design and technical teams
- Present creative concepts, mock-ups, and commercial proposals to clients
- Lead negotiations on pricing, logistics, and commercial terms
Production & Project Follow-Up
- Ensure projects progress smoothly through development, production launch, and delivery
- Manage the balance between cost, quality, and lead time
- Support quality and technical teams with client approvals and issue resolution
- Oversee dispute management and ensure successful project outcomes
Sustainability & Innovation
- Advise clients on eco-design, sustainable materials, and environmental improvements
- Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on sustainability and responsible production
