Job Title: Junior/Trainee Packaging Technologist

Salary: £23-25k Basic + benefits

Location: North West

Reference: J1963

This position has now been filled, but has been left on our website as we have other similar vacancies on an ongoing basis.
More importantly, we have vacancies that are not advertised due to their confidential nature. It is therefore in your interest to email your CV, as a Word document, depending on your sector, to:

  • Head of Packaging recruitment – Greg Nelson – greg@harrison-scott.co.uk
  • Head of Print recruitment – Neil Pearson – neil@harrison-scott.co.uk
  • Head of Paper recruitment – Gary Young – gary@harrison-scott.co.uk
  • Board level, account management, and all levels of sales vacancies – George Thompson – george@harrison-scott.co.uk

Our divisional heads will then email your CV internally to the consultant who specialises in your exact sector. For example, a category of packaging is cartons, a category of print is print management. In fact, we have over 30 specialist categories.
Our specialist consultant will contact you if we have a live vacancy that matches, or in the near future as soon as a good match to your skill set and experience becomes available.

**

Leading the way in print, innovation and packaging technology, we require a person to join our Own Label team as a (Junior/trainee) Packaging Technologist. This role involves interaction with all product buying areas and both packaging and product suppliers and involves travel including Europe. This job will help support product launches by specifying materials, suppliers and obtaining all sizes so design and artwork can be produced. We will support you in your qualification as a Packaging Technologist if required so you can advance in the team.
You will need to interact with lots of people at different levels in the business, be hands on, deliberate, articulate, organised, speedy and a good planner of projects.
If you have artwork or packaging experience now that would be beneficial but not essential as we can train you if you have the qualities mentioned above with a drive to get on.
