A London-based large organic food specialist is looking for a solutions focused packaging technologist to join them on a 6 month contract.

This well-known company is on the search for an experienced packaging technologist strong in sustainability, ideally from the food/healthcare/cosmetics sectors, but will also consider candidates from other specialisms.

Passionate about all things organic and environmentally friendly, as part of their sustainability goals, they use recyclable or renewable materials where possible. The packaging department within this organic food specialist is always learning, improving, challenging and pushing the boundaries to achieve ambitious goals and make a big impact.

Taking into account product packaging requirements and also legal requirements, your duties will include:

  • Producing sample packaging to try out different materials and designs
  • Running production trials to make sure it works and is safe
  • Working with production line engineers to find the best methods
  • Working with graphic designers to make sure the artwork fits in with the company’s marketing and branding.
