Folder Operator

A vacancy exists with this long established print & packaging company to be responsible for the operation of all cutting and individual miniature
folding equipment, multi fold configurations from 45gsm to 90gsm Coated &
Uncoated Materials to the highest folding standard.

To operate and maintain miniature finishing equipment & machinery as per the
requirements of the business, this will include roller replacement and setting
and training of other staff on the equipment.
To ensure that work is produced in a timely and efficient manner..

PRINICIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
As a finishing operative you will take responsibility for:
• Operating flexibly across the finishing department; demonstrating
confidence knowledge and skill to operate any finishing plant or
machinery as and when required
• Ensuring that finishing processes run smoothly and to time
• Working efficiently to a daily production schedule
• Ensuring the on time make ready and running of products to required
quality standards.
• The daily housekeeping and maintenance of Finishing equipment; this
includes cleaning to the required standard
• Following all maintenance procedures for the sound upkeep of the
Finishing equipment at all times.

accordance with deadlines
• Able to manage changing priorities, in particular operating different finishing
machinery or plant as and when required
• Able to make technical decisions about areas they can manage and those
that need to be given to others to solve problems

• An understanding of the importance of customers to the business

Knowledge and Skills
• Demonstrates sound knowledge and skills across the Finishing department
• Able to apply knowledge and skills to the ensure the effective and efficient
operating of all Finishing Machinery
• Demonstrates a commitment to skill and knowledge development for the role
• Indentured Apprenticeship or specific machine, process and product
knowledge training programme.
