This is a fantastic South East or Midlands based Engineering opportunity to join a market leader in the supply of printing equipment.

The main requirement is experience as a Field Service Engineer working with large Sheet-fed Litho Presses.

The successful candidate will be home based in the Midlands or South East but may be required to travel to other areas throughout the UK with the possibility of overnight stays.

Role Duties:

To Install, Repair and Maintain the Company’s products to a specified standard and to carry out customer training when required in order to provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Activities:

To put the customer at the heart of all activity ensuring the customer receives exceptional customer service in a high paced environment.

Represent the Company with a professional and committed attitude.

Daily Activities:

To respond to call outs in a timely and professional manner, identify and resolve technical faults.
To provide advice and training to customers when required.
To undertake relevant training as directed, which may include computer based training.
To undertake all repairs in a safe manner and in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and Health and Safety legislation.
To complete all necessary reporting requirements and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
To effectively use technology tools such as PDA and laptop.
To maintain car stock to required standards.
To support other engineers as necessary.

Relationship and Communication:

Build strong working relationships and communicate effectively with Technical Specialists, Service Managers, Work Controllers, Sales and any relevant department within the Company.
Build and maintain professional, confident and friendly relationships with customers and colleagues.

Applicants must have:

Proven background in field service engineering with a logical approach to problem solving.
Strong interpersonal skills working within a team.
The ability to work alone but also be part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high degree of computer literacy.
Full UK driving license.
