Fixed term contract with highly reputable company.

The role covers all aspects of estimating production costs for sales enquiries and confirmed orders. Post completion review of estimations to identify potential process improvements.

The job

• Determine ideal production flow (together with production planning department) to form basis for estimation
• Management and prioritisation of tasks to ensure service levels are maintained
• Post production review of estimation compared to actual cost. Update estimation processes where systematic differences are identified
• Support extra cost recovery process
• Maintain estimation system including maintaining hourly rates and reviewing performance criteria with Operations team
• Adapt estimation system where necessary for new production processes or equipment
• Support year end and budget processes
• Support the Sales Team during tenders
• Adhoc / project work as required by the business
• Holiday cover for part time estimation role

The person

• Able to work accurately with good attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Good time management skills, effective at coping with high workloads
• High level of commitment and motivation
• Excellent IT skills including Excel

Backgound

• Manufacturing experience, ideally print
• Good understanding of job costing / production processes by experience or education
• Excellent Excel skills and proficient with other MS Office applications
• High level of numerical skills

Conditions

• Fixed term contract with an initial contract term of 12-15 months (start date currently anticipated 1st April 2015). Notice period 3 months.
• Remuneration package includes:
o Salary is experience dependent
o 27 days holiday (plus 8 days bank holiday)
o 39.5 hour week
o Free parking
