Our client is a market leader in the sector they operate in and are looking to appoint an experienced digital print operator. It is the personal qualities our client focuses on therefore we can consider candidates who have operated almost any digital press in any sector. Full trainning with be given on our client’s specific equipment.

Key Tasks

• Daily maintenance of the InkJet press
• Understanding of Workflow and order intake
• Loading / unloading of material rolls
• Basic understanding how RIP software works
• Operating Laser Cutting and slitting systems
• Controlling quality of print
• Controlling waste
• Filling in of Stage Inspection Logs
• Filling in of Printed Scrap Sheet
• Filling in of In house Requisitions Forms
• Any other duties required in the performance of their job as requested by a Manager

Standards/Targets

• Meeting production targets and deadlines
• Keep press maintained to a very high standard
• Maintain print room cleanliness
• Reduce error rate below section target
• Reduce scrap levels below section target
• Ensure all H & S standards are complied with
• To follow company procedures at all times
• Keep working environment clean and very tidy
• Ensure that all printed material is of a high standard

Skills Required

• High level of observational detail required
• Knowledge of the companies printing systems
• Basic understanding of Inkjet printing
• Understanding of Laser Cutting
• Basic understanding of PC and Mac based programmes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
This role carries the potential for shift hours
