We are working with an established manufacturing business operating within the flexible packaging sector, supplying packaging solutions to a range of customers across demanding markets.

The business is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for leading people within its manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys working closely with a production team, providing direction, maintaining standards and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for managing and motivating the production team, ensuring day-to-day activities run smoothly and that quality, output and efficiency targets are achieved.

A strong focus will be placed on people management, team development and performance. You will need to be confident setting expectations, allocating workloads, addressing issues as they arise and supporting individuals to improve their performance. Working closely with colleagues across the operation, you will help coordinate production activities, resolve challenges and drive continuous improvement, while ensuring safe working practices and customer requirements remain a priority.

  • The ability to set clear expectations, manage performance and maintain accountability.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to handle day-to-day people matters.
  • Experience coordinating workloads and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to resolving problems and supporting the team.
  • A commitment to health and safety, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Experience within flexible packaging would be advantageous, although candidates with relevant people-management experience from other manufacturing, print or packaging environments may also be considered.

Interested?

If you are a confident production leader who takes pride in developing people, building effective teams and delivering results, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
