Our divisional heads will then email your CV internally to the consultant who specialises in your exact sector, for example a category of packaging is cartons, a category of print is print management, in fact we have over 30 specialist categories. As part of an experienced team you will be required to work in a fast moving highly creative design environment that has the constraints of tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Design Manager you will be required to create production ready design concepts primarily for the Packaging business division. This will encompass the development of creative cost effective design solutions that fall within manufacturing capabilities encompassing a diverse range of materials.
The successful Structural Packaging Designer candidate will demonstrate:
• Eagerness to broaden their skill base
• Desire to be involved in all aspects of a cross functional design department
• Experience within a similar role and a presentation of original design concepts will be advantageous, but flair and a real enthusiasm for design are of equal importance
With specification creation being an important part of the role an exemplary aptitude for detail is of the utmost importance.
Structural Packaging Designer skills:
• The use of CAD and CNC hardware is essential (with the preferences of Kasemake, although Artios or Impact software advantageous)
• An excellent level of cardboard engineering skills is a must
• Experience with understanding production techniques and parameters with multi point experience of a particular advantage. Fully intuitive with tooling best practices and layouts
• The use of artwork applications would be desirable
• An understanding and competent use of Microsoft Office packages
