A leading provider of direct mail solutions is looking for a Continuous Laser Print Operator to join its production team.

Main purpose of the role:

The position will require you to work on a continuous Nipson and cut sheet fed Ricoh / Develop laser printers, Primary purpose of this role is to set up, adjust, safely Operate and maintain programmable printers. While printing the Operator will ensure each product meets job instruction specification and passes relevant QC checks.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Nipson / Ricoh / Develop laser printers automated positioning by performing necessary calculations
  • Set up and operate a tecnau / Spedo / Laurenti sheeter and a Hunker reel stand and unwind
  • Monitor assigned machine to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed to maintain specification and operating speed
  • Troubleshoot Machine problems, resolve if possible, notify shop floor manager
  • Perform Quality checks and stack finished products according to job specification
  • Record production data with accuracy on to company timesheets
  • Run Equipment at optimal level at all times to meet job target dates
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following
  • 2 years plus laser printer experience. Advantage is 2 years continuous laser printer experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong visual skills with an eye for detail
  • A good strong team ethic and willingness to pitch in whenever necessary.
  • This is a physical job requiring a certain degree of physical fitness.
  • Guarantee own work is to the highest standard.
  • Show commitment to good Health & Safety practice.
  • Maintain a Clean & Tidy production area.
  • Be a great team player.
  • Can work independently to a high standard
  • Direct Mail experience would be beneficial
  • Must be able to do flexible working hours and on occasions prepared to do overtime at the weekends.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Shifts 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm
