We are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Compliance Manager to oversee and develop integrated compliance systems across the business.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring robust governance across quality, health & safety, environmental management, information security, and industry certification standards. The successful candidate will play a central role in strengthening management systems, supporting operational teams, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

The Role

Working closely with the leadership team, the Compliance Manager will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks across multiple operational areas. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, certification standards, and management systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

You will ensure policies, procedures, and systems remain aligned with industry standards while supporting teams across the business to maintain best practice and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Management Systems

  • Develop, implement and maintain effective quality management systems aligned with recognised industry standards
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead internal and external audits and support regulatory inspections
  • Investigate non-conformances and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented
  • Produce clear reporting on compliance and quality performance

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Oversee health and safety policies, procedures and risk management processes
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections and compliance audits across operational areas
  • Support incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are embedded across the business
  • Manage environmental management systems and ensure alignment with recognised environmental standards
  • Promote sustainable operational practices and regulatory compliance

Information Security & Data Protection

  • Support the development and maintenance of information security practices aligned with recognised frameworks
  • Ensure appropriate controls for data protection, access management and information governance
  • Coordinate responses to information security incidents where required

Industry Certifications & Standards

  • Support the management and maintenance of recognised certification standards relevant to manufacturing operations
  • Coordinate certification audits and ensure appropriate documentation and corrective actions are in place
  • Maintain oversight of responsible sourcing and sustainability certifications where applicable

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes across the organisation
  • Identify improvement opportunities within management systems and operational processes
  • Promote a proactive culture of compliance, safety and quality across teams

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with senior leaders, operational managers and external auditors
  • Provide regular reporting on compliance performance, risks and improvement initiatives

About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised compliance professional who is comfortable working across multiple business functions.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a compliance, business systems, quality, or QHSE management role within manufacturing or a similar operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of management systems, regulatory compliance and certification standards
  • Experience supporting or leading internal and external audits
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across departments
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Relevant qualifications or experience relating to quality management, health & safety, environmental systems, or information security frameworks would be advantageous.
