A new vacancy has been created within our client, an international managed communications company.

The Bid Proposal Manager will be accountable for coordinating the Managed Communications’ formal response to new-business and account-retention tenders.

The primary focus is to ensure we submit a compelling bid on time and to the required quality standards.

They will orchestrate the creation of the solution and proposal ensuring compliance with customer requirements whilst highlighting Managed Communications’ value proposition.
Further, they will set up the content management system using best practice principals and ensure data is always accessible and kept up to date.
As Managed Communications continues to experience growth, the Bid Proposal Manager will be expected to develop their own team and secure subject matter experts and writers as activity increases.

Primary Responsibilities
Managing and continuously improving the performance of the Managed Communications knowledge base by:
• Developing new content from scratch (and then on-demand, by bid) for the Managed Communications bid
• Updating individual records within the knowledge base with emphasis on persuasive case studies that clearly demonstrate our competencies (using qualitative data) in all areas of our service offering
• Liaising with relevant departments and Subject Matter Experts to gather all the necessary information to write compelling bid responses
• Re-writing content received from other departments to ensure it is sales focussed, on-brand, and compelling

Co-developing the win strategy and key themes for the proposal during kick-off and storyboarding meetings. Ensuring that the agreed themes are consistently articulated throughout a well-structured, persuasive and professional document.

Working with key Managed Communications personnel to create cross-functional (and often virtual) project teams, as required, to ensure timely and comprehensive input from specialist departments throughout the bid. Producing project plans and related documentation using new and existing templates and processes. Anticipating potential issues and continually re-prioritising project activities to ensure that critical tasks are delivered on time.

Ensuring that completed bids are submitted to the customer on time and in the required format, often using online eProcurement solutions and tender management portals.

Additionally, the tenders will relate to opportunities in both the Public and Private sectors and range from £100,000 to £millions in value.
The Bid Proposal Manager’s primary focus is to ensure we submit a compelling bid on time and to the required quality standards. To achieve this, they will help evaluate the customer’s requirements; develop a winning proposal strategy in consultation with the sales organisation and internal subject matter experts; and author the bid response accordingly. They will also liaise with the sales, finance and pricing teams to ensure timely completion of the commercial sections of the tender.

The ideal Candidate

? Outstanding writing and editing skills are critical and will be assessed during selection. Ideally, you will have experience of business or bid writing, but other disciplines (copywriting, editing, and journalism) will be considered.
? You will be highly organised and an excellent communicator. You should be able to extract information from internal stakeholders and translate their technical language into persuasive business writing with a clear sales agenda. Your ability to effectively inform, involve and influence others will help you manage your projects well. A good communicator, you will share relevant information with target audience in a clear, logical and constructive way.
? You will be able to ‘zoom in’ to assess your work in minute detail, and ‘zoom out’ to assess the overall progress of your project.
? You must be able to work well in a team.
? As you will be expected to manage a wide range of projects and tasks, you will be required to display strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet schedules.
? You must be comfortable working in a project deadline driven environment and work well under pressure.

Advanced Microsoft Office software; Qvidian or SANT proposal automation software all advantageous
