Job Purpose:
The Mill Manager has overall responsibility for the manufacturing operations and strategic direction of the paper mill.
You will lead site activities to ensure that production targets and schedules are met efficiently and safely.
Your role is to facilitate and champion Mill activities in HSE, lean manufacturing, quality control, site communications and training and development.
You will coordinate an experienced Senior Leadership Team in setting an operational strategy for paper manufacture that supports the overall business objectives that underpins the long term success of the business.
The primary focus of the Mill Manager role is also to:
Ensure that manufacturing operations are carried out in a safe manner according to company HSE management systems and UK legislation/regulation.
Maintain and enforce compliance to the factory management systems (such as in HSE, Security and Quality) and UK legislation/regulation.
Implement improvement activity where required.
Implement improvement activity to address variances to quality cost and delivery targets.
Champion and facilitate the adoption of lean manufacturing tools & techniques and embed a continuous improvement culture.
