Senior Product Development Manager

We are Recruiting a Senior Product Development Manager to head up a team of developers and develop quality products on time and on budget, according to brand and consumer needs. Working closely with the Managing Director, Operations, Marketing and Internal Sales you will be responsible for identifying a clear product strategy for printed products. You will have experience in taking a product from concept through to Market.

We are looking for candidates from a product management background with a creative bias and a detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes derived from working for a brand or supplier of printed products to the UK e-tail and/or retail market.

It will be your responsibility as Senior Product Development Manager to:

· Identify, research and develop new products from concept to final product

· Development of a clear product strategy specifically for B2C online resellers and all online channels

· Manage the creative process and develop the creative themes that will sell the products identified

· Inspire and proactively strive to get the best out of each department, in order to deliver the creative themes and to develop the new products

· Develop appropriate pricing strategies, monitor and adapt pricing models in line with market developments

· Create inspiring product content, data and images for use by online resellers to drive sales

· Development of products and themes for specific seasonal opportunities

· Responsible for setting timelines, tracking projects and ensuring objectives and deadlines are met

· Monitor competitors, products trends, online reseller trends and changing consumer purchasing habits

· Regularly meeting and working closely with the Operations & Marketing teams

The ideal candidate will have:

· An awareness of the printing industry and its production processes, covering a diverse range of product categories

· Experience in a similar background as a Product Development Manager at a senior level, with good knowledge of manufacturing and the core manufacturing processes

· Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to drive change, motivate and inspire

· Commercial focus with an aptitude for working on the bigger picture

· Keen passion for products and trends

· Highly imaginative with the ability to spot new opportunities and make things happen

· ‘Hands on’ able and willing to work with production in order to drive the development of new products

· Creative, entrepreneurial, driven by sales growth of new products
