A leading company in the sector they operate in is looking for a Site Director to lead the site Senior Management Team with the primary responsibility of delivering or exceeding the agreed P & L ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for all the site’s functions.

Scope of work:

Working with the COO and divisional Senior Management Team to contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practises. To effectively control and manage the site SMT in the deliverance of their set objectives, ensuring client requirements are always met. To deliver improvements in working practises to ensure the company stays at the forefront of the industry.

Principal Accountabilities

Workflow

  • Contribute to the development of the company’s corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the site to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Report to the COO, providing market insights and strategic advice.
  • Develop and implement business plans to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Overseeing the company’s business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures.
  • Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the site functions achieve their business objectives. Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated.
  • Develop and control the budget for the site to ensure that the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters are available.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Director / Manager, direct and control the Operations function to ensure that products and services are to the required standard and are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times.
  • To work with finance in the development of departmental budgets.
  • To work with finance to produce fiscal documents.
  • Assess, manage and resolve problematic developments and situations.
  • To attend regular meetings with COO around fiscal planning.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of the site’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
  • To handle daily commercial business issues in supporting the Commercial Manager.
  • To resolve contractual and commercial problems.
  • To ensure that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties.
  • To identifying new commercial opportunities.
  • To support Client Services Manager and the Client Relations Manager to grow Key Accounts through support and advise.

People Management

  • Direct and manage Senior Manager to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry their responsibilities to the required standard. Implements actionable plans to meet goals and objectives.
  • To hold staff meetings and carry out team briefings when required.
  • Communicate and negotiate with union representatives on terms and conditions of employment and wage reviews
  • To adhere to HR policies, gaining advise where required.
  • To identify, manage and record direct reports training. General
  • To undertake training as and when required.
  • Undertake to comply with the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and its associated polices.
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time.

Technical Qualities

  • Experience in General Management Commercial skills
  • Significant experience of the industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the company and its products and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness and operations management and implementing best practises.
  • Interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Budgeting experience.
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment.
  • Persuasive with details and facts.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively.
