Our client based in Derbyshire is currently looking to recruit a Production Planner to join their busy team. They are a commercial printer offering B2, B3, and Digital Print with mailing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• You must have an understanding of print and of the various print processes used in litho printing and finishing
• Ensure the effective processing and production of print and print related products through the company and to maintain the quality of product and quality of service at all times
• Ensure that work is planned and produced according to proposed and agreed scheduling maintaining a delivery performance of 95%
• Liaise with customer services in the processing and scheduling of work
• Monitor, check/verify production work throughout the company
• Work closely with and to support the Production Manager in ensuring the production work flow is working at it’s optimum at all times
• Ensure procedures are being followed and highlight any anomalies
• Purchase paper / stock / outwork / supplies for the company at the best rate
• Be pro-active in thinking through and thinking ahead therefore anticipating possible “pitfalls” and so avoiding them
• Ensure that you are following a practising all company procedures
• Help the production manager in creating a lean manufacturing environment
• Mailing experience desirable
• Knowledge of Optimus desirable
