Job Title: Pharmaceutical Packaging Technical Manager

Salary: £40-60k basic + benefits

To manage and develop the laboratory facility, providing industry leading technical support to internal and external customers while ensuring laboratory resources are allocated to deliver projects against agreed timelines to support the strategic growth of the business. Project management and strong leadership skills are essential to this role. With the rapid growth of the business the scope of the role will encompass responsibility for processes used in all packaging test facilities.

DUTIES
Develop a high-performing team through careful management and recruitment of technical staff. Provide guidance, insight and support on all technical matters to internal and external customers. Contribute to product design and qualification and the establishment of requirements.Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor progress of projects / workload. Deliver technical projects consistently, on time and on budget.
Review all work produced by the Technical Team to ensure accuracy and correctness prior to release.Input to the annual company budget for the Laboratory Department

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Direct line management of technical teams; recruiting training, developing through coaching and mentoring, managing performance (essential)
Managing and embedding change (essential)
Ensuring technical service delivery (essential)
Working experience of Project Management methods (essential)
Competent user of MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (essential)
Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
