Our client is looking for a natural leader to manage their significant print operation in the Essex area.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for enhancing, controlling, and executing the business and organisational processes and related infrastructure to ensure the smooth, efficient, informed, and compliant operational functioning.

Part of the senior management team, you will lead and manufacturing production teams in achieving goals and objectives in terms of productivity, safety, quality, service and financial. You will be expected to communicate these goals and objectives, providing clear direction to supervisors, team leaders and operatives, and make important decisions in high pressure situations.

Through effective management of production and support services, the Operations Manager balances meeting customer needs with optimising operational effectiveness.

The role will hold responsibility for the site operations and be responsible for both internal and external projects, driving lean and process improvement initiatives and acting as the main point of contact for day to day issues. To optimise production output for production through effective organisation, strong leadership, co-ordination and resource management.  Striving for continual improvements in machine productivity and efficiency, you will reduce waste, ensure product quality and exceed customer service levels.

We are looking for an innovative thinker with strong knowledge of manufacturing standards, confident in working in a diverse environment, with demonstrable leadership skills.

You must have the knowledge and experience within the printing industry that will allow you to confidently lead & drive continued significant change and growth.
