A well renowned organisation, which offers high quality print and packaging solutions, is looking for someone to manage the operation of the machines in the Finishing & Packaging departments, maintaining quality, efficiency and safety at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring correct job is on the machine – code/version etc.

2. Ensure a comprehensive shift changeover when required

3. Obtain an “OK to Proceed” from the Team Leader or Finishing Manager once make-ready is completed.

4. Monitor and maintain quality of work produced.

5. Make adjustments to maintain quality and output.

6. Maintain optimum machine output speed.

7. Keep the machine area in good order.

8. Efficiently utilise any machine staff provided for you.

9. Complete all documentation as required by ISO 9001.

10. Pass on all relevant information to subsequent shifts.

11. Report breakdowns or abnormalities immediately.

12. Be fully conversant with all applicable Health & Safety procedures.

13. Leave the machine in a safe and tidy condition.

14. Give coaching and guidance where required.

15. Provide support and assistance across other machines when required.     

16. Provide holiday and sickness cover across other machines as and when required.

17. Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out and relative forms are completed.

18. Carry out stock check on machine parts and re-order where necessary.

19. Undertake to comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) and its associated policies.

21. Maintain Lean Manufacturing standard.

22. Report when targets are not met or unachievable.

23. Attend and comply with all training

24. Comply with BRC rules and regulations in the Packaging department
