Harrison Scott heads down under for staff

Harrison Scott Associate has joined forces in the print and packaging sector with Hamilton James and Bruce, a giant recruitment organisation in Australia.

The partnership is aimed to fill positions in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace by tapping into Harrison Scott’s extensive database of UK candidates.

George Thompson, managing director of Harrison Scott, said: “A number of candidates have shown a strong interest in moving to Australia or New Zealand. Now with this strategic alliance between the two companies we are able to offer our high level service to them for positions in the Antipodes.”

The decision to become partners came about after Hamilton James and Bruce realised there was a great demand for print and packaging people from the UK due to their technical ability and work ethic.

Katrina Spence of Hamilton said: “There was once a time when Australian companies, if recruiting from another country, preferred German printing staff, now the majority want British.”

Hamilton said it conducted a two-week tour, visiting short-listed recruitment companies in the UK covering all the major sectors. The company said it chose Harrison Scott Associates due to its large operation in the UK, maximising its chances of a good selection of candidates.
